Yes. Every room has an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning, along with hot and cold water, toiletries, bottled water, USB and US-style sockets, a hair dryer, and a small safe.

Where is the hotel?
The hotel is at Calle Santa Clara 13 in the historic centre of Old Havana, within walking distance of Plaza Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, Plaza de Armas, and other landmarks.
How much does a taxi from the airport cost?
Around US$40. Fuel is more readily available than it was at the height of the fuel crisis, but it still costs roughly twice as much as before. You may be able to negotiate a lower fare on arrival, depending on the situation at the time.
Why is it called Residencia Santa Clara?
We wanted a name that reflected who we are. We are not a traditional casa particular, which usually means staying in a room within a family home, but neither are we a conventional government-owned hotel. Staying with us feels more like being at home, so we chose “Residencia.” “Santa Clara” comes from the street where we are located, which was itself named after the Convent of Santa Clara of Assisi—Havana’s first convent.
Are there power cuts in the area?
Like the rest of Cuba, we experience our share of power cuts. They most often happen at night, but the hotel has solar panels and battery backup. We plan to double our battery capacity by December 2026.
Is the area safe?
Yes. Old Havana is generally very safe, although, as anywhere in the world, it is sensible to take normal precautions. We also have security at night for additional reassurance.
Do you have a restaurant or bar?
Yes. Our lobby bar serves unpretentious, delicious, and reasonably priced food. We also make cocktails that we are proud to say can compete with the best in Havana.
